Maiden

“Why has as much of Maiden survived as it has and this heritage that we cling to? Why has that survived when a lot of these towns just disappear totally; everybody's gone. I guess I'd have to say my grandfather. And I don't think he knowingly did that. He was just living his life.

But he maintained some of these buildings to keep his paraphernalia and his mining equipment and that assay office. So he maintained it. He kept nailing the tin back down on the roof. But yeah, my grandfather is the one that inadvertently started saving this place.”
